After much research, I decided to schedule a consult with Dr. Aldea for April 1, 2015. There was a 100.00 consult fee that is applied to your surgery cost if you decide to go with Dr. Aldea. Upon arrival, I was immediately taken to the back and waited about 2 minutes to see Dr. Aldea. Dr. Aldea was very professional , straight forward, informative, and very knowledgable about the procedure that I was inquiring about. The consult was about 45 minutes and I felt really good about it as I was not rushed and he didn’t appear to be in a rush.I was really impressed that Dr. Aldea, wanted to know how much I knew about the procedure. I “thought” I had done some pretty good research if i May so say myself. Huh, I had to think again. Dr. Aldea, explained all the different types of lipo that there were from tumescent, to laser, vaser, and water soluable lipo. I was IMPRESSED. On 4/7/15 I made the decision to have Dr. Aldea to perform my procedure. On April 13, 2015 I went into his office paid my fees after meeting with him and being photographed. Lily his assistant is AWESOME and is very personable. She made sure she covered all basis of the procedure as well as the paperwork. She even showed me how to put on my compression garment and how to insert towels (to stop indentation) because my torso area was too short for the garment. Lily gave me her personal cell number and ask that I call her if I should have any questions or concerns. On 5/8/15 Dr. Aldea perform lipo on my abdomen, sides, and back at ST. Francis hospital. Dr. Aldea arrived marked on the areas that he would perform lipo on and made sure that I didn’t have any more questions before the procedure began. Needless to say, I did not as Dr. Aldea was thorough from the very first consult up until minutes before the surgery began. When I woke up I was out of recovery and back in a room. Dr. Aldea was present and explained to my sister about the procedure and what to expect. Lily followed up with my through the hardest part of my recovery and that was the first 72 hours after the procedure. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Aldea and if I should have another procedure, hands down it would be Dr. Aldea. I’ve dealt with two different surgeons ( Tummy tuck and breast reduction) and I must say, that I wish I had encountered Dr. Aldea before making that horrible mistake. If the TT had been performed correctly, three years later, I probably would not have had to have lipo to clean up what was messed up. I’m currently 2 weeks post op and I feel great!! Although, I’m still swollen, so far I am pleased with the results.

I can’t say enough about my experience with Dr. Eby and her staff, especially Lily. They truly care about their patients and make you feel like family. Dr. Eby listened to me and knew exactly how to create the result I desired. She put me at ease from the moment she walked into the room. The day of my surgery a surgical tech came up to me, unsolicited, and told me that she had worked with many plastic surgeons in the area. She went on to say that she herself had scheduled a procedure with Dr. Eby and would not use anyone else in town. After my surgery I thought I was getting an infection in one of my incisions. Dr. Eby was vacationing in France with her family. She herself took care of me over the phone and did not pass me off to an “on call” doctor who did not know me. My husband and I were so impressed. If you want a highly skilled surgeon who truly cares about her patients then I highly recommend Dr.Eby, without any reservations!

Very confident in Dr. Eby’s abilities was how I felt after my first visit with her. I’ve never had surgery in my life. The procedure is something I wanted to have done for a very long time. I started my research with the Board of Cosmetic Surgeons and my first confirmation was her high standing with the Board. Next I viewed her website. I was absolutely impressed with the amount of information available. The website was pivotal to me and I called to make my appointment. Pictures were taken with a computer system called a 3D Vectra. This technology was amazing. To be able to see on the computer what I would look like after surgery was very amazing. Meeting with Dr. Eby was great. It was very apparent that she cared about what I would like done, she reviewed my current health issues to be sure I would be a candidate for the surgery I wanted and best of all, there was no rush to be in and out. She took the time to cover any questions or concerns I had. I made an appointment for my procedure that day. The time leading up to the procedure is where Lily and Gail were really helpful to me in coordinating everything that needed to be done, they are exceptional ladies. Surgery day, when I look back at it, was a breeze. I felt that I was handled with care, the staff at St Francis were terrific. I had every confidence in Dr. Eby and followed her directions pre and post surgery. And now I continue with the after care by Dr. Eby. She is a woman that I have come to admire and appreciate her level of care and concern.

After doing some research, I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Peter Aldea. I felt comfortable with this team starting with the initial phone call. Lilly has such a vibrant personality which gives hope to any situation. At my consultation, I noted my concerns which included excess skin due to major weight loss. I had done research and knew what kind of procedures I thought I should get done to help better my body…tummy tuck and thigh lift. Dr. Aldea NEVER gave me false hope or tried to pressure me into procedures that were not needed. He is straight forward which I believe is a great characteristic to have in this field. He even brought me down from getting a thigh lift and noted that liposuction would be better suited. After the surgery, I was able to text/call at any time if I had any questions or concerns. I never had a problem getting in appointments after the surgery and would have been able to get a weekend appointment if I truly needed it. I have had SUCH a great experience and have not regretted it at any point. My self-confidence has increased and am actually thinking about wearing a bikini this summer! I would like to thank Dr. Aldea, Lilly and the rest of the staff for everything that they have done. I recommend Dr. Aldea to any person that is considering plastic surgery!

After much research and consultations with other surgeons, I knew that Dr. Eby was the right doctor for me. I had no doubts that I was in excellent hands and would be well taken care of. She was very patient and spent a lot of time with me answering all my questions. Her staff is so kind and helpful. I had a mastopexy with Strattice and implant exchange. Dr. Eby is very skilled at using the Stattice. It is well worth the extra expense. The results are far beyond my expectations and will last much longer than without the Strattice.

Hello Dr. Aldea!

I am doing well. Just wanted to drop a few lines to let you & Dr. Eby know that I have recovered rather well. I am so very pleased with my results! ( I feel like a hottie now!) LOL!

Seriously, I am so glad that I had my tummy tuck & breast lift. My husband LOVES my breasts. I can’t keep his hands off of them! He also loves the fact that my tummy tuck resulted in my vagina being lifted as well (??? I guess that is a guy thing???)

I do plan to return for my post-op photos but I want to try to make my waist a little smaller first (sit ups). I want to have pictures of my before/after for my personal photo journal. (It helps to keep me focused on staying fit & healthy.)

I don’t mean to take too much of your time, but I wanted you to know that I am very pleased to have had you & your wife as my surgeons.

When I first met with you, I had already consulted with 2 other plastic surgeons (1 here in Memphis as well as 1 in Nashville,TN) & had another pending appointment with another “top” surgeon in Nashville. I knew after the consultation that you indeed were the surgeon I had been searching for.

Your confidence (without arrogance) made me very comfortable in choosing you.
You answered every question imaginable & your bedside manner is second to none.
I never felt rushed nor did you use your knowledge & expertise to play down my concerns. I can truly say that if it was of concern to me, it concerned you as well.

These are the reasons why I went through with the surgery. Prior to seeing you, another Memphis plastic surgeon left me feeling rushed (like I was a part on an assembly line). It just was a weird kind of uncomfortable feeling that became a concern for me. After that,I kept putting it off.

Please give Dr. Eby a big hug from me. She really “worked it out” in regard to the issue I had about the excess skin on the sides of my breasts (see my before pictures). Again, my husband LOVES them!

I want you to know that through surgery, you have helped me to reclaim my self esteem. My confidence is through the roof! I owe that to you. I am 36 but I feel like I am 26! I stay in the mirror! I have taken more pictures this summer than I have since I was 18 years old! (My daughter says she is going to GIVE me her digital camera because I always have it! LOL!)

“… I was lucky enough to find my doctor on the first consult. As soon as Dr. Aldea showed me the vision he had for me and explained that I needed muscle repair, I knew it made sense. The problem wasn’t my weight, I was close to my ideal weight but my tummy looked terrible. I still wanted to do more research though. However, I was scared to set my expectations too high. I couldn’t really believe that I could actually get results like that. I figured I would only see a small improvement if any, but I decided to go for it.

…. I just thought-whatever happens…happens. I never believed I would wake up with a flat tummy! The first time I got a look at my flat tummy with no stretch marks my mouth dropped. I NEVER allowed myself to expect anything like that. I honestly couldn’t believe it!

My recovery went very smooth. My doctor told me to get up and move around as much as possible and I think this is what helped me have an easy recovery. … I know everyone heals differently, but I believe that moving around really helped me heal faster. I would advise anyone having this surgery to not lay around or sit too much, it will only make you stiff and sore. Get up as much as you can and move around slowly. The only pain I really had was from the muscle repair. It felt like I had done about a million situps! But every time I looked in the mirror I couldn’t believe the results I saw and it was so worth it.

… I took two weeks off work. Before my surgery I didn’t tell anyone at work about it, mostly because I really didn’t believe the surgery was going to ‘work’ and I would be embarrassed because I was still fat. But when I went back I told everyone who asked (and some who didn’t) because I was so excited about my results I wanted to share! Everyone had almost the same reaction—they want a TT too! Two close friends are actually getting a TT this summer.”

I guess my only regret is that I waited so long, I should have had this done long ago. I spent years being unhappy with myself, what a waste of time!

Tummy tuck and Breast Augmentation/ Lift

We LOVE receiving drawings and letters from our pediatric patients ! Nothing cheers a plastic surgeon as much as a letter from a child.

Such letters encourage us to continue doing what we do by serving as a joyful reminder on how much is sometimes at stake and just how much plastic surgeons can improve young lives.

I received the “Before-and-After” artwork (to the Right), from Emily, one of my all-time favorite patients.

Emily was a very intelligent, musically gifted, beautiful girl who was shy and withdrawn because of congenital prominent (lop) ears. Her otoplasty (lop ear correction) went smoothly and she blossomed. (Please, see her touching letter below)
