I love my boobies! Dr. Eby was recommended to me from my sister-in-law who works for Dr. Langston in Germantown, TN. The minute my husband and I met her, I knew she was the dr. for me. She took the time to answer ALL of our questions and I felt like she really cared about ME. I had a breast augmentation done a week ago. In the 1946 movie “Gilda”, Rita Hayworth danced in a very sexy low-cut strapless evening dress and when asked what held up her dress during the dance routine [in the days beofre two-sided fashion tape?], she coyly replied: “two things”. I had wanted those “two things” my entire adult life once I realized Mother Nature had given me all she was going to. If a woman is happy with watherever breast size she has, more power to her! But I wasn’t happy with mine….a small B. No one ever told me I’d look better or be more popular or successful with bigger breasts. It was not about others, this was about ME and how felt inside when I looked at myself in the mirror. When I was 14, a sales clerk in Goldsmith’s Department Store referred to me as “young man”. I was flat as a YOUNG MAN then and that was how I felt ever since. As the years went by I became an expert on padded bras. The cruel blows to the styles came in waves: the WaterBra, the WonderBra, and the whole line of Victoria’s Secret push-ups. Let’s face it, it there isn’t much to push up, give it up. Friends said if I gained weight I’d get bigger breasts….and with a bigger everything else that came with them? No thanks. In 2005 I was an Academic Advisor at University of Memphis, and one day I saw my reflection in my computer screen. None too flattering. I was the “cool advisor who related to the students on their level” and I wanted a face that reflected my youthful energy and mindset. I had less than successful “treatments” from less than competent facilities and practiitioners in the past… so I took my tired old face home and flipped thru the Yellow Pages for a better solution. FOUND: Cosmetic Specialists of Memphis…”For the Look You Always Wanted”…..I made my appointment for Botox and from that first visit, I fell in love with the office and all that went with it. The second I met Dr. Eby, I knew I had found the best. I felt immdeiately comfortable in her care, learning soon she only suggests and advises the correct treatments. I went on to try Restylane, Latisse, SkinTyte, BroadBand Laser, Juvedern, and Xeomin, all I am 100% thrilled with. At each visit to the office, the sample breast implants on display glittered like gold and diamonds to me, and I knew in time I would have the agumentation. On April 24, 2012, I got my “two things” I had been wanted my whole life!!!! I was probably the only patient at St. Francis Hospital smiling with joy[and not from any pain medication!]. Speaking of pain… I FELT NONE. Threre was no “hit by a bus” extreme agony I’d been told by other’s that I’d feel. Certainly I was sore, tender, and mindful I had been thru major surgery but by the third day I was able to shower and go about my daily activities with caution, naturally. I attribute my successful operation abd recovery to the fine surgeon Dr. Eby is. I joke about “boob jobs” but being put to sleep and having your body cut open for ANYTHING is no joke. I am not a gambler, I like a sure thing, and I bet my life and my looks on Dr. Eby. I have no hesitations with Cosmetic Surgery Specialists. Lily and Gail at the front desk are awesome in knowledge and putting patients at ease, answering any questions we may have. Additionally, Dr. Peter Aldea is such a charming and talented surgeon, who would have any hesitations they were NOT in the right office for cosmetic surgery? No one believes my real age, thank you Dr. Eby!!!!! I am considering an eye-lid lift and total confidence she will again, turn back time for me~

Hello Dr. Aldea!

I am doing well. Just wanted to drop a few lines to let you & Dr. Eby know that I have recovered rather well. I am so very pleased with my results! ( I feel like a hottie now!) LOL!

Seriously, I am so glad that I had my tummy tuck & breast lift. My husband LOVES my breasts. I can’t keep his hands off of them! He also loves the fact that my tummy tuck resulted in my vagina being lifted as well (??? I guess that is a guy thing???)

I do plan to return for my post-op photos but I want to try to make my waist a little smaller first (sit ups). I want to have pictures of my before/after for my personal photo journal. (It helps to keep me focused on staying fit & healthy.)

I don’t mean to take too much of your time, but I wanted you to know that I am very pleased to have had you & your wife as my surgeons.

When I first met with you, I had already consulted with 2 other plastic surgeons (1 here in Memphis as well as 1 in Nashville,TN) & had another pending appointment with another “top” surgeon in Nashville. I knew after the consultation that you indeed were the surgeon I had been searching for.

Your confidence (without arrogance) made me very comfortable in choosing you.
You answered every question imaginable & your bedside manner is second to none.
I never felt rushed nor did you use your knowledge & expertise to play down my concerns. I can truly say that if it was of concern to me, it concerned you as well.
Your expertise is very apparent in your meticulous work as well as you & Dr. Eby’s credentials.

These are the reasons why I went through with the surgery. Prior to seeing you, another Memphis plastic surgeon left me feeling rushed (like I was a part on an assembly line). It just was a weird kind of uncomfortable feeling that became a concern for me. After that,I kept putting it off.

Please give Dr. Eby a big hug from me. She really “worked it out” in regard to the issue I had about the excess skin on the sides of my breasts (see my before pictures). Again, my husband LOVES them!

I want you to know that through surgery, you have helped me to reclaim my self esteem. My confidence is through the roof! I owe that to you. I am 36 but I feel like I am 26! I stay in the mirror! I have taken more pictures this summer than I have since I was 18 years old! (My daughter says she is going to GIVE me her digital camera because I always have it! LOL!)

“… I was lucky enough to find my doctor on the first consult. As soon as Dr. Aldea showed me the vision he had for me and explained that I needed muscle repair, I knew it made sense. The problem wasn’t my weight, I was close to my ideal weight but my tummy looked terrible. I still wanted to do more research though. However, I was scared to set my expectations too high. I couldn’t really believe that I could actually get results like that. I figured I would only see a small improvement if any, but I decided to go for it.

…. I just thought-whatever happens…happens. I never believed I would wake up with a flat tummy! The first time I got a look at my flat tummy with no stretch marks my mouth dropped. I NEVER allowed myself to expect anything like that. I honestly couldn’t believe it!

My recovery went very smooth. My doctor told me to get up and move around as much as possible and I think this is what helped me have an easy recovery. … I know everyone heals differently, but I believe that moving around really helped me heal faster. I would advise anyone having this surgery to not lay around or sit too much, it will only make you stiff and sore. Get up as much as you can and move around slowly. The only pain I really had was from the muscle repair. It felt like I had done about a million situps! But every time I looked in the mirror I couldn’t believe the results I saw and it was so worth it.

… I took two weeks off work. Before my surgery I didn’t tell anyone at work about it, mostly because I really didn’t believe the surgery was going to ‘work’ and I would be embarrassed because I was still fat. But when I went back I told everyone who asked (and some who didn’t) because I was so excited about my results I wanted to share! Everyone had almost the same reaction—they want a TT too! Two close friends are actually getting a TT this summer.”

I guess my only regret is that I waited so long, I should have had this done long ago. I spent years being unhappy with myself, what a waste of time!

Tummy tuck and Breast Augmentation/ Lift

We LOVE receiving drawings and letters from our pediatric patients ! Nothing cheers a plastic surgeon as much as a letter from a child.

Such letters encourage us to continue doing what we do by serving as a joyful reminder on how much is sometimes at stake and just how much plastic surgeons can improve young lives.

I received the “Before-and-After” artwork (to the Right), from Emily, one of my all-time favorite patients.

Emily was a very intelligent, musically gifted, beautiful girl who was shy and withdrawn because of congenital prominent (lop) ears. Her otoplasty (lop ear correction) went smoothly and she blossomed. (Please, see her touching letter below)
